tterence, how can you install the image to your SSD? i have the same problem as you had. Can't mount disk sdc, sdd and keep sleeping for 5 second. My MID is original, never format or change anything.
This is my steps...
1. Unzip the ume_install.zip
2. copy everything to the 2gb usb flash memory root (no ume_install folder)
3. run bootinst on my USB memory in win xp
4. boot my MID with the USB flash memory
5. getting message of Can't mount disk sdc, sdd and "Sleeping for 5 second"

Hello dkarale,
That is the problem happened on early version of P8860. I was told that there were some P8860 were from early version. Aigo was too rush to release the P8860.
I recover my Aigo from recover disk and get 99% all the time. Never can complete the recover until my friend help me. After recovered, my Aigo can be installed the OS without problem.
Also can use the 3 USB modem now!

this problem can be fixed ?? or need bring the MID back to Aigo for fix it?? My computer knowledger is very weak !! those what you guys talking...I totally don't understand !!!

also ... why the Aigo adaptor is using the special head which I can't use my external battery for charging it........only 2700mah.....really very not enough !!!!

at least give me a USB charging cable la~~ don't wanna buy so many AC adaptor!!
