Yesterday, we have the first hands-on with UMID mbook M1-434KWA. Although time was not enough for our testing and review (but I know Chippy over UMPCPortal/MIDMover is writing his first impression now), our Engineer SKY couldn't control himself breaking up the UMID M1~~~~
SSD is Samsung 904, MLC type
Lower right are the RAMs.
According to SKY, it is not easy to upgrade to HSPA ourselves as there are many missing parts.
1. Green retangle: SIM Slot missing
2. Red retangle: 52 pins mini-PCIe adaptor missing
3. Yellow retangle: even the controller is missing too!!
Therefore, as long as we know the controller type. It is not easy to hack yourselves.
Moreover, SKY mentioned there is no room for installing a normal size HSDA module near the sim slot. No hope....so far....
(jkk, any idea?)
Update:
1. the pin number should be 52 (not 54), thanks jkk for information)
2. you may find professional comments from jkk over here. he has idea on how to hack a 3G modem! Great!
