Asus S101 Performance Review (English Version)
Thank you ASUS again for lending us the S101 for testing purpose. I have generally test the SSD performance on different benchmark programs. Below is a summary of the results.
The S101 comes with a MLC SSD. According to Asus, this is a fast MLC, after we test it with the benchmark program CrystalDiskMark. We can see the speed of sequence read and write is very fast. The reading speed is about 84.5 MB/s while the writing speed is about 49.7 MB/s . This is very fast when compare with other models.
When we tested it with the HD Tune Pro, the reading speed of the SSD is even out of our expectations with a maximum speed of 98.2 MB/sec, mimimum 70.1 MB/sec. Wow… This is brilliant.
When we test it with booting the Windows XP, the booting time is just 25 seconds. Excellent!!!!
